Twas the almost week before Christmas

Twas the “almost” week before Christmas….. I’ve done all my shopping – woohoo, really good because I’ve actually run out of money.  The shopping is done, though – so check that off my list.  Check.  No Christmas parties to attend.  It really sucks when your whole life revolves around where you are taking your kids.  And, your calendar is filled with appointments and To Do’s for non other than – yep – your kids.  Little Gym.  Dentist Appointment.  Cheerleading.  Birthday Party.  Oh, wait – there’s one for me…. oh great… it’s an appointment with the gynecologist…. not so fun – and definitely NOT me time!  Where did this year go?  I know – it went to gymnastics practice and basketball games and musical performances.  I don’t think I did anything this year worthwhile for myself.  I certainly didn’t lose any weight – as a matter of fact somewhere along the line – even though I forced myself to starve to death and to get on the treadmill once a week – OK, FINE – once a month – I’ve managed to GAIN weight!  Ugh!  Every week it seems I have this grand plan to exercise or do some new fandango tape of Yoga or kickboxing or something – and I plan to eat better, healthier, organic – and it all lasts about a total of a day and a half.  Then I’m back on the candy and junk food and eating bread all day long instead of fruits and vegetables.  Then I feel totally worn out by the end of the day (not to mention the end of the week, month, year) and I think – OK tomorrow – we’ll start tomorrow.  Somehow though – in the past 20 years, tomorrow hasn’t seem to found its way into my life.  I keep waiting for a lightning bolt to hit me and my life to really change.  OK – well, it’s not even cloudy so I guess THAT isn’t going to happen.  But….. there’s always tomorrow!!!!
